Incheon National University Songdo Campus
Incheon National University (President: In-jae Lee) announced that it has been selected for the “2026 Drug Prevention Education Support Program for University and International Students,” organized by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety and the Korean Council for University Education.
Through this selection, the university has secured a foundation to systematically promote drug prevention education and awareness initiatives on campus.
This program supports universities nationwide in autonomously operating drug prevention education programs and managing their outcomes. Selected universities receive approximately KRW 10 million in project funding. Incheon National University was highly evaluated for proposing an effective, student-centered prevention model, based on its experience in participatory student welfare programs.
Amid the recent spread of drug-related issues among young people, the importance of peer-based prevention activities has been increasingly emphasized. In particular, student participants in the “B.B. Supporters” program will play a key role in delivering prevention messages directly to their peers through digital content production, campus campaigns, and SNS outreach.
Through this initiative, the university plans to establish a comprehensive prevention system, including:
Customized prevention education for both domestic and international students ▲ Experiential exhibitions and campus campaigns ▲ Expansion of SNS-based digital content ▲ Linkage to counseling services for at-risk students.
Young-su Lee, Vice President for Student Affairs and Employment at Incheon National University, stated, “This selection reflects external recognition of the university’s capabilities in prevention education and student participation-based initiatives,” adding, “We will foster a healthy campus environment through student-led prevention activities.”
